The Update and Iteration of Raycus Lasers

      As the core functional component of laser cutting machines, the laser’s optical performance and stability directly determine the processing accuracy and workpiece quality. Heyuan Yinsheng Machine Technology Co., Ltd. has always selected Raycus lasers as the core configuration of its laser processing equipment to ensure the stability of equipment operation and the reliability of processing quality.

     As a leading enterprise in China’s fiber laser field, Raycus Laser has taken technological innovation as its core since its establishment in 2007. After more than ten years of iteration and upgrading, it has achieved a leap from technological catch-up to leadership in some fields. The company focuses on power improvement, performance optimization and independent controllability of core technologies, and has built a full-series fiber laser product system, providing important support for China’s laser industry to break foreign monopoly and realize localized substitution.     

                                                                                                   

     In the initial foundation stage (2007-2013), Raycus achieved a breakthrough in fiber lasers from scratch. At that time, the domestic market was dominated by foreign countries, and core components relied on imports. Raycus focused on the R&D of medium and low-power pulse products, launched a 10W pulsed all-fiber laser in 2008, taking a key step towards localization; in 2010, its 25W pulsed laser was recognized as a national key new product, realizing commercialization; in 2013, it conquered the core technology of 10,000-watt class, developed China’s first 10,000-watt continuous fiber laser, breaking the foreign technological blockade.

    In the upgrading and expansion stage (2014-2020), Raycus promoted performance optimization and product category improvement, realizing localized mass production of core components such as pump sources and gain fibers, and reducing reliance on imports. In 2014, its core patent won the China Patent Excellence Award, and its medium-power products entered the European market through EU CE certification; since then, it has expanded a variety of product series, which are widely used in industrial processing and gradually replaced foreign brands. After its listing in 2018, it increased R&D investment, laying a foundation for high-end breakthroughs.

    In the breakthrough and leadership stage (2021 to present), Raycus has achieved diversified breakthroughs in the high-end field, with some technologies reaching the international leading level. Its LD directly pumped near-fundamental-mode 10,000-watt laser has an output power of 10.1kW and a beam quality M²≤1.13, setting a world record; it has built a full-series product system, launched high-end lasers such as blue light and ultrafast lasers, covering high-end fields; it has broken through fiber processing technology, developed China’s first integrated equipment, with more than 1,030 patents, realizing vertical integration of the entire industrial chain.

    The iteration of Raycus lasers is a microcosm of the independentization of core technologies of China’s fiber lasers. From the breakthrough in localization to the international leadership, it has promoted China’s laser industry to achieve independent controllability and provided support for the upgrading of intelligent manufacturing.
