How to Choose a Suitable Laser

  • Select the type based on materials:   Use 1064nm fiber lasers for metal processing; CO₂ lasers for non-metals such as wood, acrylic and leather; UV lasers for precision brittle materials like glass, ceramics and PCBs; and green lasers for high-reflective metals including copper and gold.
  • Choose the working mode according to the process:   Adopt continuous lasers for cutting and welding; use pulsed lasers for marking, engraving and cleaning; select picosecond or femtosecond short-pulse lasers for high-precision, heat-free processing.
  • Match power and precision as needed:  Thicker materials and higher efficiency require greater power. Higher processing demands need better beam quality. Also consider equipment stability, maintenance cost and after-sales service for the final selection.
